Comprehensive Order types

The a.s.t. 2 offers you a multiplicity of Order types, which can improve your Trading, depending on the Market Conditions and the Time frame.

Limit Orders: You choose this Order type if you want to buy at a deeper market price than the actual price or you want to sell at a higher price.

Example Buy Limit : The Dax Price is at 6000 Points, and you don´t want to buy now, but not until Dax falls to 5990 Points. In this case you place a Buy Limit at 5990 Points.

Example Sell Limit : The Dax Price is at 600 Points, and you don´t want to sell now, but not until Dax rises up to 6010 Points. In this case you place a Sell Limit Order at 6010 Points.

Because this Limits are lying directly at the Exchange, they´re always executed at the wished Price and even get a better Execution.

Market Order: You choose this Order type if you want to buy or sell immediately at the actual market price.

Stop Order: You choose this Order type if you want to sell at a deeper Price than the actual Market Price, or if you want to buy at a higher Price than the actual Market Price.

Example for a Buy Stop : The Dax Price is at 6000 Points; you don´t want to buy now, but not until the Dax reaches 6010 Points. In this case you place a Buy Stop Order at 6010 Points.

Example for a Sell Stop : The Dax Price is at 6000 Points; you don´t want to sell now, but not until the Dax reaches 5990 Points. In this case you place a Sell Stop Order at 5990 Points.

Stop Orders also are lying directly at the particular Exchange. They´re executed at the wished Price or you get a worse Execution.

StopLimit Order: A Stop-Limit-Order is a Stop-Order with the Specification that the Order will only be executed at a Minimum (Sell Order) or at a Maximum (Buy Order) Price. (Limit Order)

Example : The Dax notes at 6000 Points; you don´t want to buy now, but not until Dax reaches 6010 Points; but the Maximum Price you want to pay is 6012 Points. In this case you choose the Stop-Limit Order – you place a Stopp at 6010 Points and a Limit at 6012 Points.

SyntheticLimit: This Limit isn´t lying at the Exchange, but is only hold by your System. This means that the actior Strategy Trader 2 must be online all the time, to make sure that the Order can be sent to the Exchange. It can happen that this Limit Order can be executed worse than placed, because the System sends the Order to the Exchange as a Market Order.

SyntheticStop: This Stop Order isn´t lying at the particular Exchange, it is also only hold by your System. This means that the actior Strategy Trader 2 must be online all the time, to make sure that the Order can be sent. This Order also will be sended as a Market Order to the Exchange.

SyntheticOco: This Order type is a combined Order. OCO stands for “one cancel other”; this means that if one of this two Orders is executed, the second Order is cancelled automatically. With this Order type you´ve the possibility to combine a Risk Stopp with a Take Profit Limit.
